Pilates

Through years of teaching experience, I have developed an instructional method that insures beginners will learn to practice safely and develop core strength, while experienced practitioners will refine their performance and build a repertoire of exercises that increase strength, balance and control. Sometimes props are used to challenge performance and sometimes props are used to accommodate performance. Specific attention is given to newcomers and those who are advancing their practice and repertoire. One or two private sessions may be recommended before group participation begins or continues.

Visualize

see the exercise as it is performed, and learn through verbal cues how to visualize the placement and movement of your body.

Practice

the movement attentively with coaching to feel how your body moves and learn your optimal form.

Perform

several exercises in continuous series to understand their synergy and benefit from it.

$10 per group class with purchase of a 6 or 12 session card.

Yoga Mind

an approachable practice with individual guidance
to Experience calm, feel relaxed and strong.

Intentional yoga practice will strengthen, align and relax your body, but most importantly by practicing yoga with total attention you will encourage yourself to balance your activities, and bring focus to all you do. This practice will invite you to step out of the exercise realm and into the Hatha, the joining of all aspects of yourself. It is for anyone who wants to focus and find clarity through practice. As a teacher I find inspiration in other teachers’ work, yogic writings, and my class participants. In each class I work from where my students are.

Details:
Groups are multi-level and consist of 3-6 participants. To reserve your spot purchase six sessions for $60.00 and use the sessions within 8 weeks.  Payment for the entire series is due up-front and is nonrefundable in part or whole. In the case of inclement weather, please call / check your messages for possible cancellation. In the case of weather emergencies make-ups will be arranged.
